Bf109E-4 Wnr 1531 4/JG53
Hello all
I'm looking for any info on Bf109E 1531, which was lost on October 28th 1940 at North Common, Chailey, Essex, I also have it listed as crashing at Towninge Farm. The pilot was FW Berg, who baled out. I would especially like to know who shot him down or if any pictures of FW Berg exist anywhere. Any info would be most helpful Many thanks |

Re: Bf109E-4 Wnr 1531 4/JG53
Probably not of interest, but I have some photos taken during the excavation at the crash site of his Me 109 in 1973. An aileron mass-balance weight from his Me 109 stands on one of my book cases.
