Re: eBay: one late war Bf 109
Good find Franck! Ju 88 or Ju 188 behind with WNr 260 225, perhaps someone has a note of the airfield this was abandoned on?

Re: eBay: one late war Bf 109
If the caption "Ampfing" on the back of the photo is correct, then it should be the airfield at Mühldorf-Mettenheim!

Re: eBay: one late war Bf 109
Yes Christian,
You've been quicker! Note on map that his journey did stop at Erding too. Note three coloured spinner. |
Re: eBay: one late war Bf 109
Hi Guys,
Ampfing??? Well well well ... The only Ju188 I can link with that new pixture is the one reknown to have been discovered in Erfurt! ... Which is only 8kms from Ampfing. What do you think? Regards, Franck. |
Re: eBay: one late war Bf 109
Hello Franck,
i am a little bit puzzled. The linear distance between Ampfing and Erfurt is about 320 km... Best Regards Norbert |
Re: eBay: one late war Bf 109
ME TOO!?
:o Thank you Norbert! Strange Google. Sorry I didn't realise. Whatever, this mistake didn't change what I wrote upper. But we probably have a second Ju 188... Thanks again Norbert. |

As I wrote in this quoted post the spinner is three coloured. Now, I just stumble on JG 53 book, part 4 and last one, by JL Roba where we can find - very known picture - this photo. So, what you think? |
Re: eBay: one late war Bf 109
Hi Franck
I am not familiar with this book, can you give the full title? Is it a french magazine? Chris |
