He 162 in strange Winter/Night camouflage

Hi Friends!

I have attached a very strange looking colour profile of a He 162 A. Can somebody confirm this winter/night camouflage? Has somebody seen a reference pic of this plane? :D Who was the pilot of this jet? Santa Claus?

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
All the best for 2006.

Nice Greetings from Vienna,
Simon Schatz

Where are the reindeer? Given the performance of the 162, Santa would likely need them for reliability. http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/images/icons/icon10.gif

Just of pure curiousity, in Poland "Santa Claus" on Christmas is a new mass media invention. Traditionally it was "Starman" or "Angel" depending on area. Santa Claus or Święty Mikołaj is coming here on 6 December.
How it is in your countries?
Merry Christmas to all!!!

In Brazil is called Papai Noel ( a rough translation would be Christmas Dad ) and obviously was introduced in Brasil with first European imigrants. Here it comes in December 25. Strangely we in Brasil still keep the "tradition" as in Europe so European fruits, seeds and food is used.

Hi Franek!

Here in Austria we normally celebrate baby Jesus and not Santa Claus. On 6. Dezember is St. Nicholas day!

Cheers, Simon

Same in Hungary. Mikulás (approx. St. Claus), dressed in red-white garment, actually comes on the night of Dec. 6.
On the night of Dec. 24 to 25 there are the Angels who show up (with presents, of course).

Well, its different by us in Serbia. We adopted the Coca-Cola invented red-dressed long-bearded Santa, but he is bringing the presents on the new-years eve, which we do celebrate with the rest of the world.
Our Christmas is on 7 January.
Then we await ortodox new-years eve which is on 13/14 January.
Adding to that, each family has its patron saint which is celebrated on that saint's day, and mine is Saint John, which is on 20 January.
As each of these "happenings" is followed by massive eat/drink/headache, I never fully recover until March.

Merry Christmas and happy new year!

Boris
