Piaggio 108 loss 5-12-1942
 

An ADIK report shows the loss of a Piaggio 108 at Bugeaud, west of Bone at O615 hrs. The report says the aircraft took off from Orintano, Sardinia at 0500hrs carrying 20x100kg bombs to attack Bone harbour, and it was shot down in flames by a Beaufighter. The aircraft was shown as no 11 or 12 of the Bruno Mussolini Sqad. and the only known survivor was gunner Sergente La L Lukia(?) b. 3-11-17. Are crew and aircraft details known for this loss please, and is there a publication/list of P 108 production and losses available. I have kept an eye open for the l'Italia book on this aircraft but have had no luck getting a copy or downloading it (low computer skills probaly), any help appreciated,
