LAC "E" Wigglesworth 88 Sqn France 1940

This is the first of a number of France 'Bale Out' incidents I am trying to get the correct name for

LAC "E" Wigglesworth was part of the crew of Battle P2247 of 88 Sqn that baled out over Pont-sur-Yonne, France on 24 March 1940

Other two crew were F/O David Leslie Russell Halliday (pilot)#39206 and Sgt Stanley Charles Boyton #560016

However I cannot find an LAC "E" Wigglesworth on AIR 78 to match

He is also listed in Battle of France Then and Now in relation to Battle K9348 of 88 Sqn on 19th May with the "LAC E Wigglesworth inj "

I have found in Air Ministry Casualty Communique No. 33 of June 1940 under wounded in action "L.A/C. T. Wigglesworth # 537945" who is Thomas Wigglesworth is it possible this is the same man or can anyone suggest who LAC 'E' Wigglesworth of 88 Sqn was

Hallo Paul,

There is no mention of him in the 88 Sqn Appendices, although coverage for 1940 is at best poor. He appears not to have returned to 88 Squadron after May 1940 based on a quick look at the ORB.

The entry for 19 May 1940 appears to show his initial as 'T', although a little smudged. I am almost certain it is not 'E'.

Very sure now that "E" Wigglesworth is actually Thomas Wiggleworth #537945

I now know that "LAC "E" Wigglesworth " of 88 Sqn France 1940 who baled out of Battle P2247 on 24 March 1940 is actually Thomas Wigglesworth #537945

PS Thomas Wigglesworth is also same "E" Wigglesworth Injured in Battle K9348 of 88 Sqn on Sunday May 19th 1940
