Current status of Bf-109 Wnr. 15458
 

Hi to all,

Messerschmitt Bf-109 Werknr. 15458 has been listed 'for sale' for quite some time, but the company that was selling it has been closed. On this page one can find all information needed: http://legendaryaircraft.hellobit.hu...9_g6_black_10/

Does anyone know what the current status of this wreckage is? And where was it found? It would be a very nice basis for restoration IMHO, the condition is quite good. It was a beautiful aircraft, 70 years ago.

Looking at the website, I assume that the pictured wreckage is one of their F4 Messerschmitts. Nevertheless I would be interested in getting more information about the wreckage of Werknr. 15458 :)

From what I can find:

"Owned by CW Tomkins Ltd. Will be restored by Legendary Aircraft at Györ in Hungary. Ex Charleston Aviation, Essex."

Looks like an English owner...but as Legendary Aircraft is no longer in business...maybe it is back in the UK?

Thanks, Mike. Unfortunately I don't know what exactly is left of the aircraft and where the remains are now. Maybe still stored in Hungary? Possibly still for sale?
