Dissertation (in Portuguese with a one-page English abstract) on the personnel of the 1st Fighter Squadron of the Brazilian AF that flew P-47s in Italy in 1944-45, based on 95 interviews with veterans (excerpts also in Portuguese).

It's not bad but it's in Portuguese (luckily I read and write due to high school in Rio de Janeiro). It's a typical dissertation with some interesting bits.

The best history of the 1st Brazilian Fighter Squadron is "Senta A Pua" written by an ex-pilot. It's also in Portuguese. The best history in English is a two part special done in Air Enthusiast in the mid 1990s.
