Hello Thomas,

Not important, maybe we don't share the same interests, those who do, understood...
I did put it for them. :D

Cheers, Franck.

PS: But you are welcome in the team if you want to share our enthusiasm.

You're the most welcome ;).
Only planes (so much) and pilots ... Very rare indeed. JG 77 too.

Re: eBay: an amazing photo album

I reviewed the posted photos ,except Brandt ( probably shot in Germany in 1939) I wasn't able to recognise the pilot depicted . There are some few shots
remarked "Ein Tommy Augefasst / Abgeschossen, on that specific chapter and while looking closer at the charred remains of the aircrew , based on his boots
( regular Soviet Army boots ) that must have been a Russian crew member rather than a Brit .How did you conclude that other JG77 photos are included too ?
was it based on that ME-109 with the II./ JG77 ( hat) insignia ?

I don't think there's any Russian connection with either crew or Wellington. The twisted fuselage bears the squadron codes AA which stands for 75 Squadron.

It shouldn't be too difficult to sort out which Wellington this was.

Hans

I think that the crashed plane is a Wellington: in one shot you can see the geodetical frame of the fuselage. You can note also a British roudel on the wing wreck.

Corrado

researcher111,

Hello! I didn't write "most probably"??... No, I didn't; ups.
Just because of tropical suits and because of that Bf 109 G "Weisse 7" photo....
And that Winkel Balken too.
Maybe I'm wrong .. But after LG 2 ... JG 77, most probably.

For 'AA': there is a British roundel on broken wing.
For Schwarze 6: that one ? (attachment)
For accident on ground: see the other side (in attachment, too.)

Last: I think we have a Rumanian officer on one photo ...

Regards, Franck.
