C. W. M. « Larry » Ling

Looking for a short bio of "Larry" Ling, who flew in Hurricanes to Malta (June 1940) and was then posted as an instructor at RAF Habbaniya.
And his first Christian name also.

Most interesting enquiry. Note that his DFC awarded in late 1944 mentions that he had shot down one aircraft and assisted in the destruction of two more!

I'm sure he didn't fly Hurricanes operationally at Malta, so with which unit did he make those claims?

A mystery that I hope we can solve!
