Oberfeldwebel Herbert Kumper - KG53 - killed August 1941

Hi,

Picked up a portrait of this flier together with a letter from his staffelfuhrer - Hans Joachim Grundmann - which probably describes his loss but cannot read German.

Can anyone provide information on his loss?

can it be KG51 ( = FPN L 37661) ? he still lived in Dortmund?

then i still t hink it is Ofw. Herbert Kümper, 6./KG 51 Bordfunker

I have the same info as lilsis. No corresponding KG 53 loss for Aug-41.
