Could you please someone help me?
Ernst Obermaier has written in his book "Die Ritterkreuzträger der Luftwaffe" , that Johannes Steinhoff had shot down 3 Soviet and 3 American airplanes, when he was at the Unit JV 44.

I have found this:

Please, can you verify (confirm) this from some oficial sources?

Neither 8th nor 15th Af lost any B-24s over Germany on 08.04.1945. Further only a single P-51 was shot down by Flak.

Gentlemen

this was P-51 44-64011, 355.FG, 357.FS.

According to MACR 13959, this a/c was hit by Flak around 12.35 hrs while strafing Ansbach a/f.

Pilot was 1./Lt. William J. Cullerton, he died in early 2013.
