Buried in Spain

Good afternoon, through the photographic file that I have in Bilbao British Cemetery, I am investigating air accidents occurred in Spain in the years of the Second World War. Practically I have almost everything sorted but I have some flyers to the data that I have I can not complete the data that I need, such as that plane died. As I have a blog that I research all this, I find that I need planes that fell in Spain. I would ask whether, in view of the data that I have, to at least know that plane came and also complete the events of his death and know because they are buried in Spain.

I leave the address of my blog, in case you want to make a check is made.

I have Sgt Philipson's logbook, medals, photos and his brevet all of which were given to me by his brother as a thank you for finding out how he was killed-he was shot down by a FW 200 of KG 40 (and I have the logbook entry from one of the German crew of that FW 200)

Re: Buried in Spain

Agustin,

Sgt. Phillipson was the only recovered crew member of a Whitley that was lost without a trace on 17-03-1942.

Other crew were Uglton, Savage, Marshall, Metivier and one Australian: Kenneth Leslie. These are commemorated at Runnymede.

Regards,

Leendert

Re: Buried in Spain

Please read 17-08-1942 instead of 17-03-1942 for Phillipson.

Regards,

Leendert
