Burial of Genoberst Ulrich Grauert

Bit of a strange request but no doubt someone will have a theory. The above was shot down and killed 15 May 41 and he and his ADC and the crew flying him were buried at Nampcel. This is 200 kms from where the crash occurred and 90 kms from Beauvais, I Fliegerkorps HQ. Only 5 WW2 are buried in this cemetery-Grauert and the others in his Ju 52. Why Nampcel not somewhere in the Pas De Calais or Berlin where Grauert came from?

Further to this, the NVM states the casualties were Grauert plus 4 but the intelligence debrief of Hptm Rolf Pingel says 12 were killed. Any thoughts?

Thanks Joe. I also have a query for you-PM follows

Re: Burial of Genoberst Ulrich Grauert

If the other casualties belonged to another unit then that unit made their own NVM. When several groundcrew of IV./JG 54 were killed in a Ju 52 crash only their loss was mentioned on the NVM of IV./JG 54. Not even the number of other casualties or the unit of the Ju 52....
