Hi,
a medevac plane. Unit(s) (in this case) would be "Sanitätsflugbereitschaft (der Luftwaffe) Nr.?". The photo does not reveal further hints to narrow this down further. The red cross does not necessarily mean this is a dedicated "Transportflugzeug des Deutschen Roten Kreuzes (DRK). It primarily means this a/c is flying under regulation and protection of the International Red Cross, Geneva and complies with the Hague Regulations of war on structures, vehicles, vessels and anything else carrying the emblem of the red cross.
