Red Fleet Aviation Far North 1941-42
Hi guys
I suspect this is just wishful thinking, but are there any records of Daily Ops/Weekly Ops/Monthly Ops pertaining to the Far North theatre of fighter and bomber operations, 1941-42? I am keen to learn of claims and losses of the Soviet Far North air forces. Are there any websites/individuals that/who may be able to help? Cheers Brian |

Hi Robert
Nice to hear from you! However, I can't seem to find anything of interest on the website mentioned. Have I missed something? Cheers Brian |

Hello Brian
not exactly what you are looking for, but Osprey's Yuriy Rybin's Soviet Hurricane Aces of World War 2 has some info and there is interesting info in Björn Hafsten et al Flyalarm (1991), especially on Soviet bomber attacks against targets in Norway, tyvärr in Norwegian but with dictionary readable. Hi Nick
Terrific! Many thanks indeed, it's a great help. Pity it hasn't been completed for 1942, but one can't have everything! Very much appreciated. Cheers Brian |
