Med Baltimores
Hi
I would like to know if anybody knows what other green colour the RAF may have used on their a/c in the Med about early 1944. I have some 15 sqn SAAF Baltimore photo’s,1 included, that show an overall single colour that was told to me by an ex 15 sqn pilot to be a light green with a sky underside. It is to light to be OD or RAF Dark Green. They were apparently painted by a RAF RSU as an interim to darken their previously white side/underside top grey Coastal Scheme. Thanks Stefaan Bouwer |
Re: Med Baltimores
There is a Light Green among the standard AM colours. It was previously used for the lower wing of biplanes in shadow-shaded schemes.

Hi Graham.
Thanks. I don't know if you saw the photo I sent as an attachment but I don't know how the moderater puts it on the forum. It looks darker than that and darker than the underside. I know that colour as it was used on the lower wing surfaces of our Gladiators. Will keep on looking Thanks Stefaan |
Re: Med Baltimores
