Klaus Komp killed 6th November 1943 - over England?

Hi

Can anyone confirm was a Klaus Komp killed on the 06.11.1943 over England on bombing mission?

I have a Obergefrieter N. Koop killed with KG 2 on that night but first name is different?

Thanks

Rick

Rick in the GQM loss lists and the KG2 book the id. is shown as Bs Ogef. Nikolaus Komp so it looks like he is the airman you are looking for. Is it likely that Nikolaus is perhaps shortened to Klaus ?

For "Winston Farm Ellingham", read Winston Hall Farm, Gillingham, NORFOLK.

I have quite a bit of gen on this crash if you are interested? PM me for details.

Brian Bines

Yes. It's a normal short form of the name.
