Bomb abbreviations
 

Hi Folks,

I cannot find an expansion for the following bomb abbreviations:
CP-14, CP-15, CP-17.
I have a whole heap of other expansions, but these evade me.
I have a feeling they may be American bombs but I am not sure. Any suggestions?

Hi Alan,

CP. = Cluster Projectile

these are clusters for incendiary bombs.

500-lb. CP. No.14 (british made) for 106 - 4 lb. incendiaries.
750-lb. CP. No.15 (british made) for 158 - 4 lb. incendiaries.

500-lb. CP. No.17 (US-made) same as the US AN-M17 for 110 AN-M50 incendiaries but with booth british and american lugs.

Just the answer I was hoping for. I did have a suspicion about the Cluster Projectiles, but no confirmation.
