A significant collection of photos of an Me 262 showing an unusual metal probe mounted in the nose and what appears to be an associated recording device, among other views. Apparently these were contained in an envelope marked: 13b Autobedarf Lagerlechfeld.

Ed, that "probe" was an attempt to locate aircraft by acoustics (sound), rather than radar. Didn't work to well LOL

Dear Ed,

I contacted the seller of the Me 262 photos because I saw that many of them in the stacks were duplicates and I wanted to know just how many different photos there were amongst the claimed 100 photos. Here is the reply that I received from the seller:

"There are 16 different photos, between 6 to 10 duplicates of each, though only one of the external photo of the nose pictured at the end of the listing. The other photos are of various parts of the plane. Thanks for your inquiry and please let me know if you have any further questions."
