Please see sterbebild below of fighter pilot killed on 22nd January 1941. I think he is called Josef Kurhler

WASt has this loss one day earlier:
1941-01-21, 3./Jagdfl.Schule 3, Bf 109 D-1, 2309, Fl.Pl. Stolp-Reitz, Absturz infolge Motorstörung. Bruch 80 %.

Sounds like he may have survived the crash, but DOW the next day per the death announcement?
