Info request: D-Day deceptions - Spitfire

As part of the D-Day deception plans, 'window' was dropped to suggest a gathering and advancing air/sea fleet at the shorter Channel crossing point.

This would require German coastal radar to detect it and report. Clearly these radar stations would need to attacked to maintain the plan but not completely knocked out and defeat the objective.

I understand that a Spitfire(?) Squadron was instructed to attack the radar stations but to minimise the damage.

Can anybody please confirm the report and advise which squadron was tasked to undertake it?
