Pilot WW1

On 25 Sep 1936 an italian Fiat CR.32 shot down a Loire 46 C1 near Villamiel de Toledo (Spanish civil war), the enemy fighter crashing to the ground with a Frenchman by the name of Hantz (from Alsace) still strapped into the cockpit. Hantz was 40-year-old veteran of World War 1 (he had served in the German Imperial Air Force), who had joined the Republican Escuadra España as a mercenary.

What is the full name of Hantz?

Thanks a lot, Daniele

Hello,

Thanks for the interesting info.

Hantz was probably shot down by Brunetto di Montegnacco (http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/italy_montegnacco.htm).

Best wishes/Håkan
