Mosquito loss 29th August 1942

Hello RAF experts,

Mosquito DK303 of 105 Squadron, possibly shot down into the sea by JG 26. I have the Pilot Sergeant Charles Atkinson (1254703) listed as a fatal casualty. Can anyone identify the Observer and his fate?

Hello,
BCL 1942 page 200.
Sgt. Pomeroy inj
T/o 1632 Horsham, St. Faith to attack a power station.(Op: Pont á Vendin).
Shot down by Fw190's and crashed in the Channel some 9 miles off Dungeness, Kent.
Sgt Pomeroy was picked up by an ASR Launch. A second Mosquito was badly shot about but managed to crash land at Lympe.
From S.R. Scott's "Mosquito Thunder" Sgt Pomeroy lost a leg as a result of his injuries. DK303 was a/c "V". W/C Edwards and obs P/O Robin Thomas ( P/O Cairns was away on leave) were in DK323 "N", pages 35/7.
All the best
Alex
