WWII USAAF aviator wristwatch

Can anyone provide info about the American pilot's aviator watch which is shown with this posting? This was from the ETO.

There are no identifying marks as to manufacturer, model # or dates.

Were watches issued to all aviators? Any good sources of info online?

The watch is refered to as the A-11. They were made by various manufacturers (Hamilton, Elgin, Waltham, etc.) and also had some variations in the dial.
