Hptm Techmar of 5./196
Could anyone confirm that Hptm Techmar of 5./196 shot down Sunderland W3994 of 10 (RAAF) Squadron on 30 July 1942 of Spanish Coast.

All I have in notes (and this is not in Les & Tony's list) is a 10 Sqn ac was lost probably to 5/196-no names or times

Many Thanks Chris, likewise managed to find via one of the relatives of Sgt Feally the probable surname. But, no times etc.,

The aircraft took the maximum load of anti- submarine bombs and was to carry out a patrol along the Spanish coast just outside territorial waters. No signals were received from the aircraft which failed to return from the mission.
