Requirements for award of the DK-G

What were the requirements for the award of the Deutschen Kreuz in Gold to fighter pilots during the war ? Presumably they would have changed as time went on, i.e. like the R.K. beginning with approx 20 victories, then to 40, etc.

What was required in September 1941 at the beginning of the award and then how did it progress ?
