Seeking first names of two Stuka crewmen during the Polish Campaign
 

Hello,

According to the revised EoE Luft Loss/Dam/Cas DB:

"8 September 1939 Polish Campaign: Stabsstaffel II./StG77 Dornier Do 17P (1016). Returned damaged by ground-fire during reconnaissance sortie east of Konskie 2.25 p.m. BO Lt Dietrich Lehmann unhurt, FF Uffz [____ ] Ostertag, and BF Uffz [____] Wunsch both slightly wounded. Aircraft damage state not recorded."

Can anyone supply the first names of these two crewman?

This was one of three Do17Ps assigned to the Gruppenstab at Neudorff, under the Fliegerführer z.b.V., at the beginning of the PC for reconnaissance purposes. It would have been coded S2+_C. Does anyone have any photos of any of these three a/c during the PC? I need for profiling purposes.

Hi,

an "Unteroffizier Walter Ostertag" was part of 2. Staffel of K/88 in Spain in July 1938. Could it be our man ?

Three Ostertag were killed in the East in 1942 and 1944 but those seemed to be not our man.
