Hello Jarek,
From the Tony Wood's files. Claims were made for 2 - B-24's in the area on the 25th. One may have been the SOE Halifax you ask of. Unless b-24's were also lost in the area that night ? From the internet at least 8 B-24's lost -France on the 25th but have not searched for identities of them. All the best Alex |

Hello,
The two B-24 claims mentioned on the 25 June, 1944 were in fact, claimed as HSS, by 3./JGr.200 at 09.45, and 09.58 respectively*. No.624 Sqn Halifax II JP240 (not JP - 240), crashed in the target area at 01.00 on the 25 June, 1944. * http://www.ghostbombers.com/JG200/june_2.html Col. |

Hi,
Alex & Col Thanks a lot. I asked about the shooting down of Halifax, a colleague from France heard the story that the plane was shot down, so say witnesses of this event. Best Regards J. |
