Death of Jürgen Brocke 4./JG 77 in Sept, 1942
 

I am looking for the exact cause of the mentioned pilot's death. I know, where he crashed exactly and his plane, Wnr, etc, but the loss report from RL mentioned, that he was shot down by fighters, Prien's book mentions, that by AA fire. I forgot to check the story of the JG 77's KTB. Anyone knows, what happened with him exactly (and when he was born exactly)?

The Verlustmeldung doesn't say anything about the cause. He was born on 4 Feb. 1922.

For me, the AA variant sounds more reliable, because I don't know a clash with the VVS fighters in the very exact area/daytime, when this young talented ace met with his destiny.
