Info on JG 26 shoot down of B-17 in 1942

Hi all - I wanted to know if any of you know how I might obtain additional information about the downing of a B-17 by JG 26 and any information on the contents and impact of an RLM report on a downed B-17 by Johann Trost mentioned in the #6 Kagero book on the Fw 190.

It would appear on 6 Sept 1942 during a daylight bombing mission the 8th Air Force lost 2 B-17s to enemy action could one of these be the plane from the report?

Additionally if you have a copy the Caldwell book JG 26 War Diary: 1939-1942 which may prove to be the unit to focus on - please check to see if the downing of the two B-17s are mentioned.

According to the O.K.L. Fighter Claims provided by Tony Wood's Combat Claims & Casualties Lists - there is this bit of info:

06.09.42 Hptm. Karl-Heinz Meyer: 10 ► Stab II./JG 26 B-17 „T N.W. Amiens 18.55

Thanks in advance!
