DFS 230 and svastiskas.

Hi,

Why DFS 230 gliders didn't wear asvastikas ?

They did...

I have seen many period photos with them...and some without. It is possible the photos you are seeing had the swastikas removed (it is illegal to show the swastika in some European countries)...

But...that said...I have also seen unaltered pics without them

Hi Mermet,
Luftwaffe regulations for the gliders are a bit different from the regulations of the aircraft:
national insigna appear to be mandatory for fuselage and undersides of the wings only. The most part of DFS 230 and Gotha 242 for example have no national insigna over the wings.
