Please help identify these Bf 109G-14 Werkenummers

Hi guys.

I'm trying to establish if any of these Bf 109G-14 aircraft of IV./JG5 1945 were /AS-machines. The Werkenummers are from the loss-list on www.luftwaffe.no

460363
461507
464152
464203
464231
464335
464913
785688
785149 - listed as a Bf 109G-14/AS
781202 Back on the list :)

Appreciate any lead,

Regards,

Kyrre
Edit: Updated findings

Many thanks. That eliminates one of them.

Appreciate it,

Kyrre

Hi Oliver:

I have 4 listings in that range from JGs 3 and 53. Are you saying the sources, VLM and FB were incorrect?

Thanks

John

Hi John,
Hummm i haven't double checked with FB and loss listings, i only had my production listing at hands. They might have been reconditionned at a later time with an AS engine but they were definitely not produced with an AS engine.

Thanks for playing along. Bjørn Hafsten has given me this as a list of G-14's with the IV./JG5 in June 1945:

164335, 460380, 462824, 464121, 464122, 464331, 461418, 464825, 464908, 464909, 464913, 464919, 464929, 465269, 465316, 465456, 465942, 785038, 785683, 785692, 785708

Anything in there that can be recognised as a G-14/AS?

Schmoll's book on Mtt Regensburg, indicates that 781 117 thru 781 207 were built as either G14s or G14/ASs. So, what is this VLM and FB that says otherwise, John? Also, that 785149 was a G14/AS.

You obviously used something else than the Regensburg production listing, Olivier, for your note above; but, I find the production listing from Regensburg very interesting in that it appears to indicate that all a/c are G-14s, yet, on the 2nd page it shows that of the total of 2403 G-14s, 835 are G-14s, 200 are G-14s without WM50, and 1368 are G-14/ASs. And, this listing and that in Schmoll, do not agree, which is also interesting, ie, which is more correct?

Hi George:

I'm saying that those in that range were G-14/AS and G-14 (perhaps), not otherwise. Guess I was not clear.
