There's a number of airplanes. The soldiers look like Afrika Korp.The basket weave construction looks like a Wellington and the second picture is definitively a Wellington

Hello,

looks like it could be three Wellingtons and an American aircraft in the background ?
Perhaps an Allied aircraft graveyard that had been over-run at some stage of the war ?

Perhaps, we all know Malta saw a lot of Wellington casualties
