General Klyske ???

Hi all,

Attached is a scan of the back of a photo. As far as I can see it says "General Klyske at Lapal".

Does anyone have any info on this general and does anyone know where Lapal (if I'm reading it correctly) is at? It's most likely somewhere at the eastern front.

It's "General Klepke in Lepel".

Klepke ... General Waldemar Klepke
Lepel ... an town in Belorus (54° 53' N, 28° 42' E)
