Any picture of FW200 F8+ DT ?
All is in title : I am looking for pictures of FW200 "F8+DT" of KG40.
The reason why: I found the remains of FW200 Wnr 0052 (DE+OG) that crashed on 7/6/43 in the south of France. I initially thought this bird was marked "F8+PT" but it seems that it was actually "F8+DT" : so, has any body a picture of that bird showing "F8+DT" ? Thanks in advance and enjoy the holidays. GC |

Re: Any picture of FW200 F8+ DT ?
thank you Roland
as far as I know, he was killed on 23 December 1944 near Kaisersesch while flying a FW190 A-8 WNr-737367 1./JG 11 white 9,but his body was found only in February 1945; It seems logical that at the end of the war, the FW200 pilots were switched to FW190. Any additional info on him will be welcome.. Cheers GC |

In your opinion can this actually be confirmed as F8+DT instead of F8+PT? Perhaps it used both codes at different times? Cheers Stig |

Re: Any picture of FW200 F8+ DT ?
I have now found the FB of Ofw Hans Ziegon. It says F8+ & it looks like PT which crashed near Mont de Marsan 1332 hrs 7 Jun 43. He did fly in F8+DT 23 Jan 43 but there is no other mention nor of an F8+PT apart from 7 Jun 43

Re: Any picture of FW200 F8+ DT ?
Thanks Chris for raiding the larder:)
Looks like we have a case of handwritten FB to rely on. Not sure what to make of this. I will note this aircraft down as either F8+PT or +DT until someone can make a 100% certain confirmation. However I must admit that a sloppy D could easily be interpreted as a P.... Cheers Stig |
