Hatch on Me 109 K
 

Hi everybody,

on the bottom of the starboard half of fuselage segment 2 (i.e. the first segment of the rear fuselage) was a hatch which was large and rectangular with small rounded corners on the E, large and trapezoidal with large rounded corners on the F and G, and small and circular on the K (see e.g. White 5 of NJG 11 on p. 58 in Poruba/Mol, where the lid is dangling down). Lately I have spent hours trying in vain to find a picture showing the exact position of that hatch. I found a few pictures showing the underside of K fuselages, but they were not clear enough to let the hatch be recognized. Is there anyone of the experts who can tell me where to find a photo or an authentic drawing that would help me? Any hint wil be gratefully appreciated.
