 L1148 Blenheim I 57 Squadron 16/11/1939

		Hi !
On 16/11/1939 Blenheim L L1148 DX-H of 57 Squadron had to make an emergency landing on the road from Gent to Kortrijk, at Sint-Baafs-Vijve, due to severe icing. The crew was interned. What happened with this plane after this forced landing ? Is it possible that it was transported to Wevelgem airfield (distance from Sint-Baafs-Vijve approx 28 km) and stored in an hangar ? See photograph at http://www.belgian-wings.be/Webpages...%20OO-ALY.html taken at Wevelgem airfield during June 1940. Is the aircraft at the left Blenheim L1148 ? Many thanks in advance, Luc |

		Beste Luc,
I noticed previous posts of 2008 about this Blenheim on RAF Commands, but these were more about the full names of the crew members. B.R. Turnidge may be identified as Bernard Robert Turnidge, who appears as a P/O in the Air Force List of September 1941. If he's the same man, he got away from Belgium at one point....
