Two pictures of Group w/Fw-190

Ok, two pictures from the Great One (Ed West). Celebrating what I think is the 1000th Feindflug or enemy combat flight, a group is formed in front of FW190. I find the colorful Fw190 spinner and the drum with inscription interesting.

Any ideas as to the unit and date? I thinks it's 1943-early 1944 could be way off.

Hi
For me it does not look like a 1000 sortie. There is no pilot to see but a lot of groundcrewmen. I think it is celebrated the 1000 repair of a Fw190.

Uhmm, never thought about that...I think you're correct...Any idea as to the unit?
