Dennis Knight has quite correctly pointed out that ZP-Q flown by Plt Off Dick Aubert who force-landed at Berck on 21 May 40 is not K9977 as recorded in a number of sources. Can anyone tell me what the correct serial number is?

Chris,

The Air 81 index notes K9957. The 'AEROMILITARIA' Spitfire I series agrees with this, recording it ran out of fuel and was abandoned.

K9952 - Sgt E A Mould safe Patrol. Ditto. see 28 July 1940.
