language question

I note that posters from all over use Croatia and also Kroatia. What do they prefer when used in English?

Croatian cars travelling elsewhere in Europe have an "HR" sticker for "Hrvatska", so I guess that's the correct spelling.

"Croatia" with a "C" is the English speliing, Kroatien is the German.
