B-17 Gauge suction gauge ?
Good Morning
This is a gauge from a early raider of the Reich F-type wich came down in June 43. Does anybody know what type of gauge it is. In Roger Freeman,s book B17-History there is a drawning of pilot instrumentsview ,but it,s very small . To me it seems a suction gauge ,anybody a idea and what was the function of this gauge ? Any answering will be much appreciated. |
Re: B-17 Gauge suction gauge ?
It is not a gauge...it is a dial for a wrist watch.

Interesting. I have never before seen a wrist watch with 10 hours dial.

Re: B-17 Gauge suction gauge ?
If it is a suction gauge from a B-17, it probably was not on the main instrument panel. I think there was a separate flight engineer's panel that would have had this type of engine instrument.
Oops - just read the previous post. I agree, it is the face of a stop watch. |
