Lt Franz Sauerland

On 10/7-1943 Lt Franz Sauerland of 1./JG11 crashed into the sea 50 km south of Oslo.
Can anyone tell me if his body was ever found ?
Should have said that I searched him on Kriegsgräberfürsorge site but did not find him. But then those brought to their home town would not come up.

Re: Lt Franz Sauerland

I have received a quistion from a local historian who is presently working with Uffz Franz Sauerland who was the BM aboard a Ju 52 that crashed in Denmark on 9/4-40. http://www.flensted.eu.com/g194007.shtml

Sadly the policereport only gives his name and rank a that he hails from Zoest in the Düsseldorf area. No birthdate is given.

Does anyone know if he is the same person as Lt Franz Sauerland.
I trust that the NVM gives location of where he lived before crashing.
