Re: Photos + 10-14
Thank you. That publication link leading to the 7./KG 4 Staffel's Chronicle for the year 1940 is pretty fascinating. Not my particular area of interest, but I believe that the Staffel's emblem was either not identified correctly or remained unidentified in Barry Ketley's work on the subject. Not sure whether Larry already knows about it.

Thank you, again, Ed.
This one: http://www.ebay.de/itm/j39-Me109-Abs.../361067672316? is Heinz Lange's Bf 109F-2 WNr.6781 of 8./JG 54, after its forced landing 6.July 1941 near Ostrow. This photo is also on David Weiss' site. Hidden by the "tetz3" masking the Hakenkreuz are five black Abschußbalken [Lange had claimed his 5., a DB-3, the day before.] GRM |

You're welcome, gents.

Quote:
The three emblems pictured are in Barry Ketley's book as 338, 339, and 340 on pages 80 and 81. However, the emblem for III./KG 4 (early) does not seem to have a visible crown in either publication. Ed |
