Loss of Uffz. Johann Höme, 26.11.1943
Hello, all!
Has anyone got other details with regards to the location where Uff. Johann Höme of II./JG 26 was shot down on November 26th 1943? I have the location St.Albert - but where is this? Is it a reference to a church? Town? or what? Any help most welcome. Andreas B |

Hello, Melvin!
This really solved my mystery for me! Both the location which really is 4 kilometers North West of the town of Albert (not St.Albert) - located NE of Amiens. The precise location must be really close to the small village of Bouzincourt. Regards, Andreas B |

According to the site http://www.somme-aviation-39-45.fr/les_decouvertes.html, by local aviation enthousiasts, the Fw 190 A-6 WNr 530727 (which I believe to be Höme's, given as 0727 by the NVM) was found (or searched?) in 2004 near Buire-sur-l'Ancre, WSW of Albert.
It is possible to contact them through their website to learn more. |
