Julius,

Please note none of the above claims were by P-38 units. If you want locations for these anyway, let me know and I will get them around. It may take a few days as I have to go out of town. Also, are you interested in P-38 ground claims on this date or just any aerial claims? 430th Fighter Squadron shot up a few 190's and 109's south of Halle.

I am back from my business trip but am still puzzled. Do you want the locations for the P-47 and P-51 claims? There were no P-38 claims on this date except the few strafing ones I mentioned before, which I'll provide pilots/claims for if you're interested.

Hi Kent,

the Info about the claim on this date is form an eyewitness. He told me
that was an P-38!? Do you have P-51/P-47 claims in this area?

Julius,

To save me a lot of time--are any of the following locations near where you are looking for? If so, I will send the claims, but if none are in the area you want, there's no need to type them all in. I have 109's and 190's being claimed near Hof, Eckartsweiler, Ostenburg, Regensburg, Hannover, Oberpfaffenhofen, Mulhausen, Gotha, Jena, Hildesheim, Nordhausen, and Celle. There were other claims for He 111's, Ju 87's, a Me 262, and a Ju 88 but evidently those aren't what you need. Please let me know if any of the locations listed fit and I will follow up.

Fw 190 in the area Gotha, but my eyewitness is sure, it was an P-38? Perhaps a wrong date...

From the list that Alex posted:

Slentz claimed a FW 190 near Gotha
Stewart claimed a FW 190 northeast of Gotha
Both pilots were 378 Squadron, 362 Fighter Group (P-47).
Everything else was in the other areas I mentioned earlier.
