B-24 shot down by P-61 10/11/44
 

Hi guys

I'm seeking the identities of the P-61 crew of 425th NFS that shot down B-24 42-51226 of the 36th BS on 10 November 1944.

Any help appreciated.

Cannot find any P-61 claims on 09/10-11-44. I had the B-24 lost to flak over Belgium

If you read the posting, the story gets more involved and there is a book referenced which discusses the incident and a cover-up. Has anyone read the book who can comment?

I have located the book but it appears to be a historical novel, and its only available as an ebook.

But I have ordered the other book mentioned, 'The Lady Jeanette'

On the other hand, there are also graves for these men in Iowa (Lt Grey), Maryland (Sgt. Mears) and Henri-Chapelle (Sgt. Sgt. Bartho).
