Re: Photo of tail of Crashed B-24 - Pacific
Hello Ed, Many thanks looks like this may be a 43rd Bomb Group aircraft.
Could find no MACR or accident for 42-73484 so may be a case of scrapping ? Alex |

Re: Photo of tail of Crashed B-24 - Pacific
This site, http://www.kensmen.com/birds1a.html, has the a/c from the 63rd BS.
This site, http://b-24.weebly.com/before--after3.html, says the a/c crashed Sept 1944. |
Re: Photo of tail of Crashed B-24 - Pacific
Judging by this photo of bombardier 2 Lt Orvis L. Cason (43rd BG) the date of the crash may be put after 18 Oct. 1944?
