III./NJG 1 - base in March 1941
 

Apologies for my ignorance following on from the Karl May question, from which airfield were they flying from during March 1941 if the a/c crashed into the Rhine during a training flight ?

III./NJG 1 based at Rheine from Aug 40 to May 41.

Your Bf 110 was not lost on a training flight but an operational flight hence in the first column of what Melvin sent you under the date it says feindflug ja oder nein & they have written Ja
