Hawker Stamp marking

Hello everybody ,

Could anybody help me in identifying some markings? I am continuing my research on my late grandfathers lost Tempest . Some small parts have been found and there is a stamp on one. It reads HA 42 would anybody know what this means ?

Perhaps an Inspection stamp or a manufacturers code and date?

Inspection Stamp - HA 42 or HA 42 - Hawker Aircraft 1942?
