Hello Ken,
Is this Me109 Yellow "11" Wn 1251 the one that I think it is down in France VERY Early in the War ? First pic and then the Second pic shows the right way round . If so what is the white(?) bar on the rudder ?? I do not remember seeing it in other pics of Lt. Heinz Schultz's "11" after capture. It seems the rudder was removed at some later date only to be replaced by a mock one. I now question the history of this "11". If it does show Lt. Heinz Schultz's Yellow "11" then the other photos that show Yellow "11" in a crashed state well smashed must show it after capture and perhaps after being flown by the French as later pictures show Yellow "11" being off loaded from a trailer and at that stage it seems to have a replacement (False ?) rudder. It was brought to the UK and became I believe AE479, but that was "White "1" W/n 1304 of Fw Karl Hier ? Alex |

3U+YT was a very early Bf 110G with the old rear gunner's position: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Foto-Luftwaff.../121541680485?
and these Bf 109E2 belong to II./JG 51, not JG 26: http://www.ebay.de/itm/G904-Foto-Flu.../391024251660? |
